New article about Oxford’s research data management infrastructure published in the International Journal of Digital Curation

An article that we wrote entitled ‘Towards a Unified University Infrastructure: The Data Management Roll-Out at the University of Oxford‘ has recently been published in the open-access International Journal of Digital Curation (IJDC). The article is based on the paper that I presented at the International Digital Curation Conference 2013, in Amsterdam back in January, which introduced the rationale behind the approach we are taking to establishing a research data management infrastructure at the University of Oxford and considered the challenges faced in the light of current research practices, staff expertise, and limited resources. The article also touches on the tools and services the University is developing, such as DataFinder and the Online Research Database Service (ORDS), and how these might be integrated into an infrastructure that is greater than the sum of its parts.
