The Bodleian Libraries has the ability to assign DOIs to Oxford-created datasets.
Datasets deposited in Oxford’s ORA-Data will be give a DOI so they can be cited. Contact us for help or further information.
A DOI is a persistent identifier, so should remain constant over time: as long as the DOI record is kept up to date, a DOI will always point to the current location of the data. This is useful for citing datasets in journal articles or other publications – it also aids data discovery and makes it easier to acknowledge the data creators.
