Open source metadata tracking tools for life science, environmental and biomedical experiments.
ISA-Tools is a suite of tools that help you manage diverse sets of life science, environmental and biomedical experiments; providing rich description of the experimental metadata (i.e. sample characteristics, technology and measurement types, sample-to-data relationships).
The suite includes: two different editor tools; a repository which can be used to search and browse your experiements – this can be a closed/internal or open resource; a converter tool to export to existing data repositories, such as those at EBI; tools to upload data to existing analysis platforms; tools to release linked data or for submission to data publication platforms. ISA has an established community of users and co-developers.
